Fuchsia is a flowering plant that grows like a shrub or small tree. The plant is native to the Caribbean island of Hispaniola and is named after the famous German botanist Leonhart Fuchs. Fuchsia flowers are very pretty, having an unusual teardrop shape, four long, slender sepals, and four shorter and wider petals. The color of the petals can vary from white to dark red.
